Spotify Lite is an alternative to Spotify that takes up much less space, but provides all the same features while using as few resources as possible. All in all, this extremely useful music streaming application takes up just 15 MB on your lite phone. Meanwhile, the full version of Spotify takes up a whopping 100MB of your memory.

This lightweight version of Spotify comes with a very similar interface to its original. At the bottom you will find three tabs: Start, Search and Favorites. From the main screen you can access the latest songs and playlists you listened to before logging out. Based on these songs, Spotify Lite has a complete list of featured artists to your liking. Searching for new songs is also simplified. You will not find other users here, and on your Favorites tab you will find starred songs and your custom Spotify playlists.

The idea behind Spotify Lite is to provide a somewhat simplified, more restrictive experience while providing quality music streaming – either in random mode if you are a regular user or playing the music you want if you are a Premium subscriber. You will not be able to create new playlists from the lite application, nor will you be able to stream to any of the radio stations on Spotify.

Spotify Lite is a non-nonsense, compact version of the original application that does exactly what one would expect Spotify to do, but without all the decorative elements. Best of all is its small size and high capacity for your data usage budget. Another nice feature is that you can set a monthly limit for the data that Spotify Lite consumes from your data plan.
