Yandex.Search is a small search bar located in the notification bar that lets you perform fast keyword searches. By default, the app is configured to work with the Yandex browser, but it is fully compatible with other Android browsers as well.

Although Yandex.Search allows you to search for information on the Internet by default, it also searches your device. This way, if you want to search for a contact’s phone number or any other information, you can enter his or her name and quickly access that person’s profile.

Yandex.Search is a search bar that some users may find useful, but it certainly is not necessary – especially if you already have a search bar installed, whether it is Google or any other regular Android provider.
