It’s an HTML reader, a document reader and an ebook reader all in one, either for screen reading or for listening when your eyes hurt, malfunction or are busy elsewhere.

CHARACTERISTICS:
* Open text, PDF, DOC, DOCX, RTF, OpenOffice documents or HTML files for easy reading.
* Now includes OCR (Optical Character Recognition) for exporting text from PDF files, where normal text export does not work.
* Click the “Share” or “Email” button / menu item in any application to send text to @Voice Aloud Reader for speaker or headset reading.
* When sharing web pages on @Voice, menus, navigation, ads, and other junk are removed, leaving clear text to read or listen to.
* On WhatsApp use the Export Chat feature to send conversations to @Voice for listening
* If Sharing is not available, copy text to another application and paste it into @Voice for readability.
* Save articles that open in @Voice to files for later listening. Create multi-article playlists for one-on-one listening. Order the list as required, e.g. most important articles first.
* Read eBooks on screen with original formatting, images displayed, turn pages or read continuously. Or put on headphones, turn off the screen and listen!
* Handles Chinese and Japanese vertical text (from right to left), or change it to landscape mode if you prefer.
* Easily add saved pocket articles to the @Voice reading list – on the Reading list screen, press Menu – Add pocket items, then read on the screen or listen to them read aloud.
* Record oral articles to audio files – WAV (uncompressed) or OGG (compressed) formats are supported.
* Press and hold the word and / or select a larger phrase to view dictionaries, translations, Wikipedia, Web search, and more.
* Speech correction for TTS, optionally using Regular Expressions (RegEx)
* Easily control the volume, tempo and rhythm of speech.
* Pause / resume speech as required with wired or Bluetooth headset buttons, and click Next / Previous to switch by sentence or next / previous article in the list.
* Automatically identify the language to use with the appropriate TTS voice, if available, or set your preferred voices manually with the Select Language menu item.
* Options for additional pause between paragraphs, start talking as soon as a new article is loaded or wait for a button to be pressed, start / stop talking when the wired headphone jack is inserted / removed.
* Optional sleep timer for stopping speech after a given time limit.
