OsmAnd 4.0.4 for Android – Download

OsmAnd is a map application that uses data from OpenStreetMap (OSM). With it, you can download high quality maps from around the world and save as many maps as you want on your device. Keep in mind that maps take up a lot of space, however, so if you download a lot, you may run into storage problems.

One of the strengths of OsmAnd is that, in addition to using data from OpenStreetMap, it also allows you to access information from Wikipedia. Maps can show nearby points of interest based on information from Wikipedia.

It is important to note that the free version does not use Wikipedia to display these points of interest and allows you to download only seven maps. The paid version, on the other hand, allows you to download an unlimited number of maps that you can manage directly from the app itself.

OsmAnd is a great navigation tool. Not only does it allow you to download maps for offline internet use, but it also has many features, including the ability to change visual style or navigation style (compass compliant, fixed or customized back and forth).
