McAfee Avert Stinger is a tool dedicated to detecting and eradicating a range of specific viruses that should not be used as a substitute for a normal virus.

It is very useful in dealing with the common threats that surround the net: viruses, worms and their variants. In particular, the current version of McAfee Avert Stinger eliminates more than 600 threats.

From the McAfee Avert Stinger Favorites panel you can enable or disable process and boot sector analysis by selecting what to do when a threat is found (Update, Repair, Rename, and Delete).
