Fate / Grand Order is a JRPG framed by the popular visual novel reincarnated through a fairly capable franchise launched by Fate / Stay Night. Go back to 2015 where the plot takes you to the summit of the Chaldean Security Organization, when it is discovered that the whole human existence is in danger if no action is taken within the next year. Scientists have been able to pinpoint the cause of this epic disaster caused by an anomaly born in Fuyuki City in late 2004. Your mission is to travel back in time with a team of special agents by your side to help you defy fate stopping at most the moment of origin; thus saving the world.

Start by creating your own special agent by choosing his gender and name. Throughout the numerous conversations you will have during this game, you will also provide a specific sense of identity to your hero by choosing to switch between different sets of dialogs. Of course, you can always opt out and skip some of these little conversations, but this is for sure not a recommended tactic or in your best interest. The plot in Fate / Grand Order is one of its real advantages and it is worth spending some time reading them.

The big debates are not the only feature in Fate / Grand Order. In all this adventure you also have to defeat all the enemies as you meet them, which means that you will take part in some extremely turn-based battles. With more than a dozen different “servants” at your disposal for combat missions, you have the responsibility to use each of their special features and skills, as well as to balance their strengths and responsibilities without leaving aside any individual personality. Many of them are old chroniclers present from the beginning of this story.

Fate / Grand Order is an epic JRPG with a dramatic story based on regular combat (some would say genius). All things considered, it’s a great game that offers the same level of quality after level. Obviously, this implies great graphics and a top soundtrack equivalent to its excellent playability.
