Views
EarthDesk for macOS has 12 views to choose from, including Mercator, Azimuthal and Equirectangular and a Globe with an optional starfield background.

Centering
Center in latitude / longitude, one point relative to the sun or moon or 10,000 places. A data subscription gives you even more centering options.

Map tags
Colorful labels can be used to group cities by category and mark them on the application maps. Labels are set per screen for maximum flexibility.

Implementation
Earth Desk for Mac runs in the background, using minimal resources. Aside from the beautiful image on your desktop, you won’t even notice it running.

Multiple screens
One, two, three or more monitors can be used at the same time. Show a different map on each one or open a single map on all your screens.

Live Cloud Images
The free cloud image service provides the application with 2 megapixel global cloud images in detail. Standard cloud images are updated every six hours.

Earthquakes
Watch earthquakes around the world. Select the minimum size to display, select the number of days remaining and fade past earthquakes.

Named storms
Watch for big tropical storms, cyclones, hurricanes and hurricanes. Choose how to highlight the storm and whether the Safir-Simpson category will appear.

High resolution clouds
A data subscription provides high-resolution 32-megapixel cloud images. High resolution clouds are updated every three hours.
