The Bluezone application, developed by the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam and the Ministry of Health.

The app is to protect the community from the COVID-19 pandemic, helping to bring life back to normal. The Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Health, under the guidance of the Prime Minister, have developed an application called “Bluezone – Contact Detection” on a smartphone.

Bluezone will alert you if you have been in close contact with people who have COVID-19, thus minimizing the spread of the virus in the community, helping people return to normal life. When there is a new case of infection, you can find out if you had close contact with this case or not just by going to Bluezone.

The more people who install Bluezone, the more effective it is. Let us challenge the virus with the power of our community.

With each person installing the application for themselves and installing the smartphones of 3 other people with Bluezone. The Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Health recommend across the country to install Bluezone for itself and for 3 others.

– Data security: Bluezone only stores data on your device, it does not send such data to the system.
– No location data collection: Bluezone does not collect data on your site.
– Anonymity: All Bluezoners are anonymous to others. Only the competent health authorities know those who are infected and those who are suspected of being infected due to close contact with COVID-19 cases.
– Transparency: The project is open source in GPL 3.0. permission. Users from other countries are free to learn the functions of the system at source code level and to use, research, modify and share it.
